Capítulo 10 · Lección 10.3 · Conectores y transiciones

Conectores en inglés: however, therefore, although y más

  • although / even though + sujeto y verbo«Although it was late, we kept working.» Lleva una oración completa. «Even though» es más enfático.
  • despite / in spite of + sustantivo o ‑ing«Despite the rain, we went out.» / «Despite being tired, she finished.» No lleva sujeto y verbo conjugado.
  • however, nevertheless, therefore + comaVan normalmente al inicio de la oración o tras punto y coma, seguidos de coma: «The plan is good; however, it is expensive.»
  • unless = if ... not«Unless you practice, you won't improve» equivale a «If you don't practice...» No se pone otro «not».
  • since: causa o tiempoPuede significar «ya que» («Since it was raining...») o «desde» («since 2020»). El contexto dice cuál.

Comprueba antes de seguir
