Pronombres relativos en inglés: who, which, that, where y whose
El «que» que une dos ideas.
En español un solo «que» une las frases: la mujer que vive al lado, el libro que compré. En inglés depende de qué es: persona → who; cosa → which; y that sirve para las dos. Para lugares, where; para «cuyo», whose.
Cuando después del «que» viene otro sujeto (el libro que yo compré), en inglés lo normal es quitarlo: the book I bought.
La regla: Persona: who (o that). Cosa: which (o that). Lugar: where. Cuyo: whose. Si lo que sigue tiene su propio sujeto, puedes omitirlo: the movie (that) we watched.
El «que» según lo que nombra

What no es un relativo: «lo que» sí es what (What I need is time), pero «el libro que» nunca es «the book what».
